Okay, this is my first serious art for the Supernatural fandom. The Chip'n'Dales priests were fun, but I really wanted to draw Dean properly. And boy did he make it difficult! Sam is such a funky looking guy that I can get him on the first draft. But Dean is so perfectly proportioned it's like trying to give a Ken doll personality! Not easy.

So today was more doodling with my new/old Photoshop. I think I'll keep it, I'm not missing any vital features yet. ...So, I said I wasn't going to do any Transformers fanart, but I lied. Sorry, I promise to scan in my notes for that Wonderland pic tomorrow, and get to work on it! Anyway this was just supposed to be a throw-away doodle to work on my caricature skills, but I ended up really liking where it was going. Maybe I'll add Bee in later.

The hp_beholder fest has revealed it's participants. Of course, I immediately looked to see if fanlay had done the writing (in addition to the art) for my gift. I'm sorry to say that (to my knowledge)fanlay does not in fact have superhuman abilities to make both awesome fic and art, but has instead come into an unholy alliance with writer lookfar. I was absolutely spoiled by these two, and I urge you once again to take a looked at their combined effort A Fish May Marry a Bird

And now I get to take credit for La Petite Mort! When I saw these two characters on vissy's wishlist (even before it was assigned to me) I said, "I want that! That's what I want to do." Boy was I lucky to have them assigned to me, I don't know if I'd have been able to get my mind to switch tracks. Ghost-sex is awesome.

As a side note- I had a heck of a time trying to figure out what the Baron should be wearing. The last book gives evidence that the Baron was alive at the time of the founders (about a 1000 years ago) and my admittedly basic research tells me that; besides the wardrobe of that time being pretty shabby, the title of Baron wasn't even introduced until around 30 years after The Bloody Baron's death.

So I decided that basing anything on JKR's math skills was pure folly and instead modeled him after Louis XIV of France. Can't remember why, but at least it looks good.

Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, I just got my hp_beholder present and OMG! I'm so lucky! I got a fic and two pieces of art to go with it! I don't think it's possible for a present to be more awesome. It's Snape/Firenze (Yes I know I'm a pervert, so sue me.)and their relationship is so sweet. Gah, my brain is melting just thinking about it. The fic is NC-17, but even if centaur sex squicks you out you've got to see the art(G-PG13). Firenze is gorgeous! They've got this sense of intimacy to them, it's very beautiful. So go checkout A Fish May Marry a Bird at the hp_beholder fest.

I just rediscovered RenRen, and OMG it's so awesome! I just had to draw some Sirry art myself. Except, this is the first time I've drawn Sirius and his face isn't even showing. Haha, Oh well.

Haha, you guys want to see something weird? I couldn't figure out who I was drawing when I started this, so I scanned it and did another one as Remus Lupin. It looks horrible, but I'll show it off since I think it's hilarious how different the two pics turned out. Basically, if you re-sized and overlaid the images, some of it would line up.

I'm not sure which of these creeps me out more. It's like they've both got 'PEDOPHILE!' tattooed on their forehead. Seriously, Remus scares the shit out of me. Anyone who's got a rabid animal living inside them cannot be that nice.


Oh, and I guess I'm getting rid of my Greatest Journal cuz it seems like they're having problems over there. Frankly I'm glad I have a reason to shut mine down. It's just a hassle trying to keep it updated, and no one ever comments there.

This is about the third time I've tried to draw this scene, but it probably won't be the last.

Rar, I have a migraine, but I'm too stubborn to get off the computer.
Anyway, I hope some of you are Pan's Labyrinth fans, because I just finished this pic of the faun. I've been wanting to do some art for P'sL for awhile, so I've been looking through production photos looking for ideas. When I saw Doug Jones (the faun) holding this bone flute I thought it was perfect. Of course it didn't occur to me then that I've never actually seen someone play the flute. Some advice for all you artists out there: Don't try to draw something you've never seen before unless you're very stubborn, and you have tons of reference pics! (I collected 50 pictures for this sketch, though I'll admit that's a bit overkill) This pic may have been a little out of my skill level but I think it turned out well. I'm not sure if I'll be drawing the faun again- he's way more detailed than I'm used to dealing with. (This was actually going to be a full length drawing, but halfway through I realized how much work that would be.) But maybe that's a good thing? I think lack of detail is one of my weak points anyway, so it'd be a good opportunity to fix that. Sounds fun. :/

Hmm, I've been meaning to post lately, but I can't seem to remember what I wanted to say. It was usually about 3 in the morning when I wanted to post so it's probably better that I refrained.
My mom's going back to work tomorrow so I'll hopefully have more time for art now. It was nice spending so much time together though, I'm going to miss that.
Anyway here's some art. This is that first time I've drawn Vernon, and it's exactly how I picture him. That's really odd for me, I never get a character right the first time. Was this how he looked like in the movies? I just remember the last movie, and he looked horrible there.

OMG so tired, I couldn't sleep last night so I stayed up drawing this. I'm not really sure what's going on, Harry's expression confuses me. Voldemort was looking even more evil than normal so I was doodling some horns on him and decided to leave them and make Harry an angel to even things out. If I make this into a full color pic I'll take it out. The whole thing makes me want to have a caption contest, it's so weird.
Oh yeah, I wanted to say FORESHORTENING IS A BITCH! Kicked my ass, I spent more than an hour on Volder's neck and it still sucks.

This was my first fest and it was quite an experience. Usually I can just scrap a project if I don't like where it's going, but since I had to stick to it I ended up redrawing the entire scene about 4 times. At first it was a generic James/Snape on the grounds of hogwarts, but Snape looked too old so I decided it was Harry/Snape. And why would they be doing it on the grounds? Maybe Spinner's End? And Harry would ambush him! In the kitchen, with the knife! Now with a story in mind it becomes more than a picture, but a picture worth a thousand words! lol*LAME* Then it was this trippy mess because I suck at perspective, so I had to redraw the whole thing.

I'll admit I might have gone a bit overboard with the level of finish, but I'm a big fan of froggie and really wanted them to like it! (and I'm pretty sure they do *glee*) So yeah, I just about killed myself making the thing.
The funny thing is that I only joined the fest because froggie made a post about it. Haha, whatever.

Sometimes I'm so lame it's painful. Now, my friends, is one of those times. I've made a sequel of sorts to HP in Wland, except this time my playful side decided to come out.
So, I had Snape and Harry thumb-nailed early on while I was making HPnWL and decided to come back to it, but it looked lopsided so I added some more characters. I'd like to say I chose Fred&George because I love FG/H/S,(which I do!) but the process was closer to throwing a dart at a map. (or faynia's HP to Alice character list to be exact) This is when my subconscious decided to step in and say 'Hey, you know what Fred would do if he was the Mad Hatter? He'd try to measure Harry's head for a hat.' Which sounded okay at the time, but now... *so embarrassed*

I'm not necessarily in charge of my muse, but I can at least point her in the right direction and stop wasting time on things that no one likes. Except for Voldy/Harry. If I get an idea for that I'm going for it no matter what anyone says. :P I'm bothered by people who only seem to draw something because it's a popular subject, so I've only asked for opinions on things I don't mind changing.

You know I'm starting to realize that intelligent/human-like(i/h) Hedwig is actually a very vague description since canon Hedwig is more i/h than a normal owl. It's very difficult to say what goes into the list and what doesn't. I'm thinking I should remove the whole section, but if anyone has a better idea please share.

I've just started on a fairly large project, so all I'll have to post for awhile will be quick sketches. Sorry, but hopefully my project will be worth the wait. ;)

So, I was just thinking to myself, 'What if all the HP wizards were cats?' The answer came to me surprisingly quickly.
